Our Story

The food flight, now on the Hill

Blackstone started with a question: why does ordering mean picking just one thing? That answer found a home on Atwells Avenue, the heart of Providence's Federal Hill, complete with a scratch kitchen and a cheese wheel we set on fire at your table.

The Owners

Gian & Bryanna Ranucci

Rhode Island natives with a soft spot for European cafe culture, Gian and Bryanna built Blackstone around the food flight, their answer to every "what should we get?" argument. On Federal Hill they leaned into the theatre of it, with the tableside cheese wheel as the centerpiece.

Everything is prepped to order from a scratch kitchen. The menu keeps growing because the regulars keep asking, and we keep saying yes.

What We Believe

House rules

"Sharing beats choosing. That's the whole point of a flight."
Rule one
"Scratch kitchen or nothing. If it can be made in house, it is."
Rule two
"Every guest is family. You deserve to be treated as such."
Rule three
The Family

One idea, three rooms

The Hill is part of the Blackstone family, alongside the original in Coventry and Putnam. Each room has its own personality; the flight boards travel everywhere.
